Why is Career Counselling important?

Every parent wants their child to be successful and happy in life. And we need to understand this shall not be achieved by forcing them into a career which does not interest them. With changing times and increased competition, the only way is to allow your child to pursue careers of their interest, personality and passion. There are numerous options in today’s time, not just the standard options of being a Doctor, Engineer, MBA etc.
The simplest solution to this is career counselling.
Your child has immense potential which is yet to be discovered and explored. It has helped many young minds grow and make informed career decisions. Career Guidance provides information about possible career options. Counsellor evaluates and understands a student’s personality, interests, abilities and skills.

Statistics:

According to statistics, 44% of youth say that career counselling is important for them but only 1 out of 10 students receive career guidance in India.
What do you think could be the reason for this?
The answers have always been the same – decreased awareness, parental and peer influence. General confusion among Indian families as career counselling seems like an unknown option still. Even today, India still needs 1.4 million career counsellors to achieve the standard ratio of 250:1 (students: counsellors).

When is the right time to take Career Counselling and who can take career counselling?

With the help of DMIT and the astrological aspect one can understand the Multiple intelligence at an early age of 7.
